It's always the smallest simplest things that return the biggest rewards. Being busy is overrated, need to unplug, need to unwind, feeling worn out, take a nap. Recharging your batteries is easy, and free, all it takes is a little mindfulness and a willingness to sleep outside the box ( or in this case bed).
Measure your life in moments, luxuries of the senses are attainable to everyone who seeks them.

Weekend Reflections
Today I took a nap on a blanket in my backyard under the late afternoon sun, it was glorious. What a luxurious treat to simply lay down and relax and doze off on a Sunday afternoon. For a small but glorious moment my day was my own, kiddo was napping upstairs in her room, hub was catching up on some Netflix & chill and suddenly I thought I'm going to spread out a blanket and take a nap.

Fashion Friday
I am so excited that it is sandal & sundress weather! Can't wait to sport this cute bag by Crocs. This is the perfect accessory to add a punch of color to a black jumpsuit, or maxi dress. I love how fun and eye catching the pattern and the colors are!
A cute dress with this sporty little bag screams it's Friday, here I come weekend! Did I mention this is a crocs brand bag, I'm telling you crocs makes super cute stuff, and never gets the style credit they deserve for marrying form, function & fun! Oh yeah & it's #thrifted!
Thrifty Thursday
I am a thrift store junkie, no two ways about it, lots of my posts are going to have thrifted items. I really love the thrill of the hunt, who knows what amazing treasures you might find for just a few dollars. Not to mention, being green, supporting local community, and not supporting disposable consumerism.
I picked this up for darling daughter's room, I love the colors and the message, it was $6.00 and this particular thrift store supports wildlife rescue. Thrifting is the kind of retail therapy I love, it's a win, win, win situation... Or as I like to say, the world is your oyster at the thrift store!
Wildcard Wednesday
I posted this photo on Facebook the other day with the caption I love being a mommy. It's true, I love it so much, we have the most fun playing house! I love watching her vacuume our house with that silly Minnie Mouse vacuume. Three is such a fun age I like giving her options to participate that are her size, I think it gives her a feeling confidence to be bigger than something!
I have a huge soft spot for kids toys I love miniature things, I thrifted the vintage little tykes washer dryer set for $10.00, I've seen it online for as much as $150.00. The Minnie Mouse boutique vacuume is another thrift shop score hard to beat for $3.00. Too soon she will grow up and leave her toys behind, but I hope the memories last forever!
Testimonial Tuesday
Little luxuries are my favorite things, when you find something that elevates your day but doesn't dent your wallet it's a wonderful thing. I picked up some of this Mayfair body soufflé and the verdict is heavenly. It is so light and fluffy, leaves my skin feeling hydrated, and the scent is incredible, the grapefruit really make it, I find it so relaxing and calming. I love to slather it on after a long warm bath and drift off to sleep in a cloud of grapefruit bergamot.
I'm also a fan of the pretty packaging, I googled Mayfair Soap Foundry
http://www.mayfairsoapfoundry.com and was pleasantly surprised to read that the following
Mayfair Products are:
Paraben & phalate free
Not tested on animals
Made in the USA
For each Mayfair product purchased, a donation is made to Starlight Children's Foundation. (Read more on their website)
So not only do I get to pamper myself for a very reasonable price ($8.99) but I support a charitable cause and it aligns with values that matter to me, triple win!

Mantra Monday
Monday mornings are full of duality, in the split second it takes to realize it is morning, you are suddenly struck by a larger more ominous realization, it isn't just morning, it's Monday morning. From the moment you are aware of Monday your entire mindset shifts, you can see your leisure time slipping away like grains of sand in an hour glass. Facing down a week of schedules, structure, and responsibility is tough and no amount of Sunday night prep can eliminate the moment you realize you have to adult for an entire work week.
I've had some fairly significant work related stress the last month and it has been making me moody and anxious. I came across the above quote on Pinterest and it truly resonated with me. I've written it on the motivation board in my bedroom. My goal this week is to remind myself to think of what could go right whenever I catch myself worrying that I might fail. I am hoping to redirect my energy into a channel of positivity that will not only keep me centered, calm and confident, but that will also drive good decision making and positive self talk. If nothing else is accomplished I hope focusing on what can go right will make life more pleasant for anyone who has to interact with me this week.
I hope this Monday mantra helps you have a great week, if you have any stellar Monday tips please share!
